How To Get Your NBT Results

Methods For Getting NBT Results

Have you taken the NBT exam but are presently unaware on how to obtain your results? We can help, though. See how to obtain your NBT results below.

The National Benchmark Test (NBT) is an examination which is set up by the National Benchmark Test Project. It is a set of tests which are used to assess a learner’s academic literacy, general knowledge, and mathematical skill in order to measure academic readiness for university.

There are two NBT tests: Core Maths (MAT) and Academic Quantitative Literacy (AQL), which are both multiple-choice tests with three hours writing time. Your NBT results are valid for 3 years

You will receive your test results approximately four weeks after you have written, the results will be available for you to view by 12 noon.

If you have written your NBTs and you want to check your results then you must do the following:

  1. Go to the NBTs website
  2. Click on ‘Applicants’ and you will then see a bunch of options appear
  3. Click on ‘NBT Results’
  4. Click on ‘Access your results’
  5. Click on ‘Get my results’
  6. Enter your ID number as your username
  7. Enter your password you created when you registered for the NBTs
  8. Click ‘Login’
  9. You will then see your results

You can also request your results by sending an email to four weeks after the test session you were registered for.

If you have an outstanding balance on your account because you have not paid for your NBTs then you will not be able to access your results.

The institutions that you have applied to will typically have first access to your results, as the results will be made available to them 3 weeks after your test date. Institutions get this access only if you allow it.

During the registration process, you are asked if you would like to give permission to institutions to view your results. If you choose to give institutions access, you can select ‘Submit’ and your results will be sent to the institutions 3 weeks after you write.

If you are experiencing any difficulties when trying to access your results then you must send an email to to request your results.  NBT Project staff are not allowed to release your results over the phone.
