How to Apply to Cape Peninsula University for Studies

Africa’s center for technology education and innovation is the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). With more than 30 000 students enrolled, it is the largest university in the area and a highly respected institution on a global scale.

It is the only university of technology in the Western Cape. In the areas of Applied Sciences, Business, Education and Social Sciences, Engineering, Informatics and Design, Health and Wellness Sciences, and more, the university’s six colleges provide a comprehensive choice of recognized undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) was established on 1 January 2005, when the Cape Technikon and Peninsula Technikon merged. This merger was part of a national transformation process that transformed the higher education landscape in South Africa.

Today, this institution is the only university of technology in the Western Cape and is the largest university in the region, boasting more than 30 000 students, several campuses and service points and more than 70 programmes.

Applying for admission to CPUT consists of seven steps.

The institution remains in strict lockdown level 3 mode, students (including prospective first-year students and their guardians) are urged not to travel to campuses for face-to-face assistance from staff.
